The boys at Manchester performance were absolutely wonderful from the beginning of the process to the end. Dave always took my phone call and I felt the transaction went unbelievably smooth. If I could give more than 5 stars I honestly would. Couldn’t recommend enough.

“Dave “ sold me a car for 6k with a 6month warranty . Informed him the engine light were on and the code said it were reviving too much fuel . He said he were going to get me the number for the warranty company then boom , never heard anything since . Tried calling and texting 20 times and no response . Will have to go down the route of small claims to get my money back . Avoid this garage !

After a 2hour drive we went to view a Golf at MPC , and after a short test drive in a built up area around the block , we noticed that the clutch pedal was very low , the front tyre was nearly flat and the parcel shelf was missing . Dave said all this would be sorted by the time we were ready to collect it the following Saturday. So we signed the paperwork and arranged to collect the following weekend . He said he would get the clutch checked when it went in for an MOT . Apparently the clutch was ok according to the MOT garage even though it was nearly on the floor? We were not 100% happy about this but he said they didn’t find any issue with it ? During this phone call about the Golf , Dave at MPC said they had decided they would change the Cambelt for their piece of mind as there was no record of it in the service history , which we thought was very good of them . The work for this was carried out at another garage and it appears they then noticed a leak on the slave cylinder which was the reason the clutch was very low ! This was repaired but due to parts arriving a day later , we were unable to pick it up on the Saturday as agreed. Finally a day later than planned We set off on our 2 hour journey looking forward to collecting our new car only to find when we arrived we were very disappointed to see the front tyre was still flat ! So we had to sit and wait half an hour for him to get a new tyre fitted . Then we asked if he’d replaced the parcel shelf ? He had obviously forgotten, so we waited for him to go and get one from another golf they had ,which was 10 minutes away ! Why wasn’t all this done and checked as promised ? Then I had to ask for the warranty before we left ! All was good until we got 10mins down the road out of the 30mph limit and joined the motorway ! As soon as we got going we heard a noise , which was quite loud , were absolutely gutted ! After all the issues and now this ! We contacted the garage he said to book it in and see what it was . Later the next day after a difficult and unpleasant discussion with a senior member from MPC , he insisted that there was nothing wrong with the car when it left the garage and that all their cars are road tested at 30mph . No wonder they didn’t hear the noise ! They finally agreed against their will to take the Golf back and we got our old car back , for a cash payment ! We were assured on the return of the golf that they would pay off the outstanding finance , which we trusted they would immediately . Unfortunately this was not the case , after numerous requests it took MPC 17 days to make payment to the finance company by which time our first instalment was due for a car we had returned to them 2 weeks previous and no longer owned ! As we raised a complaint about the whole handling of this ,we have learned today from an email that MPC have denied that there was any fault with the car ! Well that says it all ! We are certainly not in the habit of buying a car and returning it because we have simply changed our minds ?? Overall it has cost us dearly, £s in Fuel, Plate removal , Changing insurance ,Countless phone calls and hours of time not to mention the Stress and sleepless nights . It has been 6weeks of hell for us and something I don’t wish to repeat in a hurry ! We were really looking forward to changing our car for something different, but due to lack of Enthusiasm and Bad Customer Service it has been a nightmare .The most annoying part is that no one from MPC said that they were sorry . I understand they cannot know the history of a car and it’s faults but surely it is their duty make sure there are no faults when a car is ready for sale to prevent issues like this happening. If there is a Next time, I will make sure I read reviews before purchasing another car .

Quick, easy and friendly service, booked an appointment test drove the car MOT and service was done by MPC and then the car was delivered free of charge. Could not fault them at all, will definitely be back to buy my next car from here.
